CORNWALL COUNTY SHORT MAT BOWLING ASSOCIATION

NEWS RELEASE 30 September 2018

INTER COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP

On Sunday Cornwall host Devon at Carnmoggas Indoor Bowling Club in the ESMBA Inter County Championship.  Cornwall narrowly lost their opening fixtures away to Somerset 3 weeks ago 18-22 in the Premier match and 16-24 in the A Team match.  Devon come into Sunday's fixture match on the back of heavy defeats to Dorset 9-31 at Premier level and 5-35 at A Team level.

ESMBA OPEN FOURS

On Saturday Cornwall Premier Team player James Smith joined with three other West Country bowlers Tom Perris, Paul Pomeroy & James Trott to win the ESMBA Open Fours played in Tamworth.

INTER AREA LEAGUE

Last Sunday the first of three rounds of Inter Area League matches were played at Carnmoggas East won 25-15 against West and Central won 30-10 against North.  

COUNTY MIXED FOURS

On Saturday Carnmoggas will be the venue for the County Mixed Fours with twelve teams entered.  In addition to the County Title three of the teams will also be playing for a place at the 2019 National Championships.
