Round three opposition was provided by Gill Johnson & Stewart Minchew (Gloucestershire) who were brushed aside 18-2 as Karen and David progressed to the Quarter Finals where Chris & Dan Blackman (West Sussex) provided the opposition. The West Sussex pairing moved into an early 4-0 lead before Karen & David hit back to level the score at 7-7 going into the last end. Day Four (Sunday) - Triples

For Sunday's Triples competition Peter and Nigel were joined by Nicholas Truscott (Holmans). Their first game saw them drawn against Cheshire 1, the team who ended the same Cornish teams run in last year’s championship at the Quarter Finals stage. Cornwall gained revenge for last year’s result with a comfortable 12-4 victory. A narrow 6-8 defeat in the second game against Essex 1 meant that victory was needed in the final game against Humberside 1. Cornwall duly delivered with a 13-4 win to progress to the knockout stages.

The second round draw saw Cornwall up against Wiltshire 2 skipped by former Cornwall county player Geoff Lane. The Cornish trio did not settle into the game as well as they had done earlier in the day and Wiltshire progressed with an 8-5 win.
