COUNTY MIXED FOURS
On Saturday (7 January) 21 teams will compete in the qualification competition for the County Mixed Fours title at Fowey Community Leisure Centre. The top eight teams will progress to the finals to be played at the end of the month on Sunday 29 January.
INTER COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP
On Sunday Cornwall’s Premier and A teams travel to Bere Regis to face Dorset at the Dorset Bowls Resort for the final group match for the 2011-2 season.
The Premier Team are currently lie in third place in the table, 33 points ahead of Dorset. With 40 points on offer Cornwall will be seeking a strong result to claim third place and hopefully miss a Preliminary Round match in the Knockout Competition. The A Team are also currently in third place with an 11 point lead over Dorset. Dorset however have a match in hand against Somerset so every point is vital for Cornwall. Cornwall’s opponents in the knockout rounds will not be known until after all the group games have been completed.
