ESMBA Open Fours & Inter Area View this email in your browser CCSMBA NEWS RELEASE NEWS RELEASE 2 October 2016 ESMBA OPEN FOURS On Saturday Cornwall was well represented in the English Short Mat Bowling Association Open Fours Competition in Tamworth.  Luke Jolly, Nigel Nicholls, Tom Westlake and Gillian Cawrse had the best day of the local players reaching the Semi Finals where they were beaten by the eventual winners Barry Hedges, Steve Killington, Peter Fautley and Adam Smith. INTER AREA LEAGUE On Sunday the first round of Inter Area League matches were played at Carnmoggas.  Central defeated North by 28 points to 12 and 195 shots to 149.  West beat East by 25 points to 15 and 206 shots to 163.  INTER COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP On Sunday Cornwall host Somerset at Carnmoggas Indoor Bowling Club in the third Inter County Championship match of the season.   The Premier Team are still looking for their first match win of the season after defeats away to Dorset and home to Devon.  The A Team will be looking for a third win of the season. The matches will get underway at around 1000 with play expected to run though to around 1600.
