Inter Area League
On Sunday the final round of Inter Area league matches was played at Carnmoggas Indoor Bowling Club. The East area defeated North 36 points to 4 and 219 shots to 130 to claim top spot after previously unbeaten West area suffered a 7 points to 33 and 133 to 190 shots loss against the Central Area.

ESMBA/TLH Top Club Competition
On Saturday 11 January two teams from Cornwall travelled to Taunton for the South West area qualification competition for the ESMBA Torquay Leisure Hotels Top Club competition. Both teams qualified for the finals to be played in Torquay in April.
England v Wales
Over the weekend Cornwall's three England players have been taking part in and England v Wales match in Weston Super Mare. Over the two days England won comfortably by 138 shots to 54.
Peter Hore won four games out of four on Saturday and three out of four on Sunday. Elise Daniell won three from four on Saturday and two from four on Sunday. Nigel Nicholls won two from three on Saturday and three from four on Sunday.
Inter County Championship
On Sunday Cornwall's Premier Team travel to Bristol to face Surrey in the Preliminary Round of the ICC Consolation competition. Team Manager Nigel Nicholls hopes to have a largely unchanged team from that which recorded their only win of the season on the final group game against Devon in early December.
