CORNWALL COUNTY SHORT MAT BOWLING ASSOCIATION

SUMMER LEAGUE
The CCSMBA Summer League is well into the second half of the season and the divisional leaders are Nomads who have secured top spot in the West and Blisland Blues in the East.

The competition provides opportunity for bowlers to play through the Summer with nearly 140 bowlers having already played one or more matches in the competition.

Fixtures continue until the first week of September after which the two divisional leaders will play off for the title.

League tables for both divisions can be accessed from the links below.

SHORT MAT PLAYERS TOUR
This coming weekend see's the start of the Short Mat Players Tour season with the UK Open in Chelmsford on Saturday and Sunday.

Nigel Nicholls (Newlyn Trinity) is drawn in Group 15 of the Round Robin stages where he will face Gary Stewart (SCO), Phil Lodwick (CYP), Christine Holland (IOM), Gunnar Frantzen (NOR) and Ali Akbar (UAE).  Peter Hore (Holmans) is drawn in Group 22 where he will face Peter Clarke (ENG), Thore Amundsen (NOR), Peter Roberts (ENG), Joseph Beattie (IRE) & Lee Toleman (ENG).  Elise Daniell (Holmans) is drawn in Group 23 where she will face Stephen Jack (NOR), Brenda Crowe (ENG), Stephen Wilson (ENG), Barbara Johns (ENG) & Andrew Shorney (ENG).

The Short Mat Players Tour organiser offer a full results service throughout the two days of competition and links will be made available via the CCSMBA Social Media Channels.

ESMBA OPEN PAIRS
The following Saturday see's the ESMBA Open Pairs taking place at Solihull Indoor Bowling Club with some players from Cornwall expected to take part.

2019/20 SEASON
The winter season gets underway locally on Sunday 15th September with the County Team Trials at Carnmoggas Indoor Bowling Club.  Players selected for the squad will return to Carnmoggas on Saturday 21st for a practice day ahead of the first Inter County Match against Somerset at their new venue in Huish Episcopi on Sunday 6th October.
