Inter County Championship
On Sunday Cornwall travel to Daventry to face West Midlands in the re-arranged semi finals of the ESMBA Inter County Championship after last weekends original fixture was postponed due to the inclement weather that enveloped the country.

This will be the third meeting of the two teams in just under a year with West Midlands having won the final of the same competition by 25 points to 15 with shots 179 apiece in March last year and again coming out on top in the Inter County Rinks in January by 37 shots to 32. Will it be third time lucky for Cornwall on Sunday.

County Finals
The conditions locally relented sufficiently by Saturday to allow the first of the County Finals to be contested at Carnmoggas. During the morning the Two Wood Singles was contested. In the Quarter Finals Kevin Williams (Porthleven) progressed by default following the withdrawal of his opponent. Richard Kerr (Landrake) won 10-9 against Keith Matthews (Blisland), Martin Boraston (East Taphouse) defeated Howard McCormmack (Penlee) 12-9 and Karen Watson (Saltash) won 13-2 against Graham Reeves (Saltash).

In the semi finals Kerr defeated Williams 12-9 and Watson won 13-5 against Boraston. Watson won the Final 13-10 against Kerr.

During Saturday afternoon the Four Wood Pairs was contested. In the quarter finals Elise Daniell & Peter Hore (Holmans) won 10-2 against Cynthia Storer & Chris Roberts (Ladock). Max Burden & Keith Matthews (Blisland) defeated Mark Payne & Howard McCormack (Penlee) 12-2. Mike Dyer (Newlyn Trinity) & Kevin Williams (Porthleven) progressed without bowling a wood after the withdrawal of their opponents. Chris Selby & David Studden (Holmans) won 9-6 against Sandra & John Worton (St Newlyn East).

In the semi finals Daniell & Hore win 16-6 against Burden & Matthews and Selby & Studden defeated Dyer & Williams 12-7. Selby & Studden won the all Holmans final against Daniell & Hore 7-6.
