ESMBA SUMMER COMPETITION
On Sunday a team of 6, Peter Hore, Elise Daniell, Nigel Nicholls, Neil Gribble, Ken Horrell and Chris Roberts travelled to Tamworth to compete in the ESMBA Summer Team Competition.
The competition format saw the team compete in the four main disciplines Singles, Pairs, Triples and Fours in a round robin against three other teams. The Cornish bowlers recorded 7-2 wins against Lea (Herefordshire) and Kingscliffe 2 (Somerset) but suffered narrow defeat 4-5 to Morley Green (Cheshire), a team featuring no fewer than 6 players with national squad experience. Morley Green progressed to the knock out stages with 20 points with the Cornwall team missing out finishing 2nd in the group with 17 points. Morley Green were the eventual winners of the competition.
