The Summer League competition is reaching the half way stage. Blisland Blues lead the the Eastern section with an unbeaten 16 points from 8 matches. In the West Nomads lead the way ahead of Penlee Surf. All the latest results can be accessed by clicking

Forthcoming Events
The new season moves ever closer with the first major competition, the Short Mat Players Tour UK Open over the weekend of 19th & 20th August at a new venue of Falcon Bowling & Social Club, Chelmsford, Essex. The competition will see the SMPT hoping to fill a capacity entry of 192 bowlers for the event making it one of the largest singles competitions ever run in England, seven bowlers from Cornwall are currently entered.
The English Short Mat Bowling Association host an Open Fours competition on Saturday 9th September at Tamworth Indoor Bowling Club. Over the weekend of 16th & 17th the SMPT host the Irish Open whilst locally the County Team trials will take place on Sunday 17th. A squad practice will be held on Saturday 23rd ahead of the first Inter County match of the season on the following day against Somerset at Donyatt Indoor Bowling Club.
