News Release 12th May 2008
England Trials
Holman’s members Peter Hore and Nicholas Truscott took part in the England Squad trials held in Northampton over the bank holiday weekend. Playing with a number of different teams over the two days both thoroughly enjoyed the experience and now must wait until the end the month to hear if they have been selected for the squad.
Summer League
The Summer League competition gets underway this week with 14 teams from 12 clubs competing. The Nomads team, based at Newlyn Trinity will be looking to defend the title but face new opposition this year in the form of Withiel Oaks and Elms and the Hotshots team based at Holmans in the Western division. Completing the line up are Lanjeth, Ladock and Praa Sands.
Defending Eastern division champions Tintagel have entered a second team for the first time and face opposition from Boscastle, Blisland, St Tudy, Camelford and Dobwalls.
